What will be covered
Beginning bird photography can be intimidating for novice photographers. With all the buttons, dials, and switches, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Questions such as “How do I attach the lens? Does it matter if I use the back screen or the viewfinder?” arise often.
This beginner bird photography course is designed to answer those questions and start students off with the basics. You’ll become familiar with camera controls, how to take a picture and how to focus, and you’ll learn everything from Shutter speed to Aperture to white balance. Our goal is that after completing this course, you’ll be armed with enough knowledge to take beautiful bird photos; to make sure of this, course notes will also be emailed to you after the course is complete. Should you have any further questions, rest assured I will be available via email to assist you.
You don’t need to bring your own equipment as I can provide a camera and lens for you. If you decide this type of photography isn’t for you, then you won’t have wasted any money. However, if you do have your own camera and lens, it should have a minimum focal length of 300mm. Optimal focal lengths for this type of photography are 200-500mm or 150-600mm. Additionally, I will provide a free memory card for you to keep.
Camera and lens rental will be charged at £70 and will include a 32GB memory card for you to keep (T’s & C’s Apply)
New customers will also receive a gift pack worth over £10
