The East Coast of Yorkshire is a wonderful place to visit if you like photography and walking with fantastic views and wildlife. with all the seabirds on the cliffs and all the wildlife in the fields.
In the fields, there may be a chance you may see a Roe Deer, Fox, Rabbits, and Haires and also various smaller birds. Your senses will be blasted with all sorts of sites and smell’s along the way.
This is a full-day walk starting out at RSPB Bempton Cliffs and walking to Speeton and back so you will need to have a good level of fitness to do this walk, the full walk will be around 8 miles and will take around 8 hours.
As this walk is all on the clifftop you will need to have good footwear as the ground underfoot is uneven. You may also need waterproof clothing if the weather looks like rain because this walk will take place whatever the weather.
You will also need to bring with you something to eat and drink because when we set off, RSPB Bempton Cliffs will not be open and we will not be near any shops or cafe’s as we will be mainly on the cliff top’s all the time.
While on this photography and nature walk you will be given advice on basic camera settings like exposure, aperture, iso, and composition. Also, we will talk a little about various landmarks and places and discussing what wildlife we see.
To photograph seabirds and wildlife along the cliff top the problem is getting close enough, so you will need a suitable camera with a lens focal length of at least 200-300mm a 500mm or a 600mm would be ideal also if you want to do some landscape you will need an 18-55mm or similar. You may also wish to bring a pair of binoculars with you.
With the nature of this photography, we can not guarantee that you will see all the birds listed. Also, the walk will go ahead whatever the weather so any payment made is non-refundable unless extreme circumstances dictate otherwise and due to our opinion.
We will not be held responsible for any equipment damage, theft or personal injury while attending the walk participants do so at their own risk!
If you pay a deposit you will be required to pay the remaining balance 48 hours before the day of the course. If you fail to pay the full amount before the day of the course you will lose your deposit and will not be able to attend the course.
