Description

GREY SEAL MINI BREAK

The Grey Seal Mini Break is an Ideal place to learn Photography or just hone your skills, especially when you have subjects like the Grey Seal to photograph. These magnificent animals come on to land to breed in the winter months in the UK which gives the perfect opportunity for them to be photographed and watched.
You will see interactions such as mothers feeding their new pups, Bull Seals breeding with Cows and Bulls fighting to see who gets to breed. It is a fantastic time that is not to be missed for any wildlife photographer.
We do all this while keeping the seals best interests in mind. We will NOT get too close to the animals we will be always watching our surroundings and for signs of distress.
On this workshop we will be focusing on all the techniques that is required for photographing wildlife, including Shutter Speed, Aperture priority, composition, how to deal with camera shake.
We will also cover how to get the best photograph without disturbing the subject, how to approach the seals and to spot signs of distress in the animal.
The equipment that is best suited for the type of photography that we are doing and techniques to get the perfect shot which include camera-shake and how to get sharp pictures.

GREY SEAL MINI BREAK OVERVIEW
The Grey Seal mini break course is conducted in Norfolk over TWO days. Norfolk is a real hot spot in December for Grey Seals because it is in the middle of the pupping season so you can get a lot of interaction between the pup and the mother, and also mating between the Cows and Bulls, plus with the added fact that it is winter when the sun is low in the sky all day you can get some wonderful atmospheric shots. With the Seals been wild animals in their natural habitat the course is limited to two people per mini break as not to stress out any of the animals.

    Grey seal photography mini break
Weekend spent with Steve photographing grey seals near Great Yarmouth. Steve was happy to tailor his tutoring of photography techniques to my level of experience and ability. I found the course to be both informative and enjoyable.
