Learning the Basics of Post-Processing RAW Photos

This class is for people who are new to photography and want to learn how to process their new RAW files. We will cover the basics of post-processing using RAW files, including the use of programmes such as Darktable and Adobe Lightroom. We will also cover topics such as composition, colour correction, and more. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of post-processing techniques and learn how to best utilise the tools available to you.

This course is designed to be a beginner-level class where we will cover the fundamentals of post-processing step-by-step. We will also provide tips and tricks to help you create beautiful images. You will also learn how to automate processing tasks and make the most out of your RAW photos.

At the end of this course, you will have the knowledge and skills to create stunning images with your camera. You will also understand the importance of post-processing and how it can help enhance your photos.

What you will need

You will need to send me a copy of the RAW files that you would like me to show you how to edit (after the meeting I will delete your images from my computer)

You will need to have a copy of either Darktable or Adobe Lightroom plus a Dropbox account for file sharing which can be downloaded from the following links

DROPBOX    There is a free account option available.

DARKROOM LINK   This is a free programme but you also have the option to upgrade too.

ADOBE LIGHTROOM  This is a subscription based programme where you get Photoshop, Photoshop Lightroom and Photoshop Lightroom Classic for £9.98 per month.
