Workshop Overview
The world of bird photography is a fascinating past time, trying to get that perfect shot from either the pose to the correct angle while in flight. While doing bird photography you will start to notice birds a lot more, identify their call and see birds that you have not seen before. You can spend a lot of time searching for the bird that you want to photograph and then even more time waiting for that one special shot, then you may find that you do not want to give up until you get it.
British seabirds come in a variety of sizes from the Puffin which is one of the smallest to the Northern Gannet which is the biggest with a wing span of 2 meters. While on the course not only will we cover the equipment side but you will also learn about the seabirds and their habitat.
What will be covered
This is a 3 hour course which is meant as an introduction to one of my main courses which last all day.
On the course we will touch on camera settings from Shutter speed to the best Aperture, also composition and technique. We will also talk about equipment if needs be.
Location
The course will be held at RSPB Bempton Cliffs on the East Coast of Yorkshire. If it gets too busy at Bempton we may move to a different location which will be discussed at the time.
Equipment
You will need a camera that has either a powerful zoom or a camera with interchangeable lenses. As for the lens required you will need a 300mm or more as we will be some distance away from the birds. Bridge cameras or above work the best for this type of photography.
DISCLAIMER
With the nature of this photography, we can not guarantee that you will see all the birds listed. Also, the course will go ahead whatever the weather so any payment made is non-refundable unless extreme circumstances dictate otherwise and due to our opinion.
We will not be held responsible for any equipment damage, theft or personal injury while attending the walk participants do so at their own risk!
If you pay a deposit you will be required to pay the remaining balance 48 hours before the day of the course. If you fail to pay the full amount before the day of the course you will lose your deposit and will not be able to attend the course.
