Workshop Overview

RSPB Bempton Cliffs is on the East Coast of Yorkshire and is a wonderful place to visit. Home to over half a million seabirds Bempton Cliffs is ideal if you like photography and walking with fantastic vistas and wildlife.

Key Species: – Puffin, Gannet, Kittiwake, Fulmar, Guillemot, Razorbill, Herring Gull and Shag, also various smaller birds. Your senses will be blasted with all sorts of sites, smells, and sounds along the way.

This is a full-day workshop (approximately 8 hours) at RSPB Bempton Cliffs where we will be looking at and photographing the seabirds. We will also be covering camera settings I.E shutter speed, ISO, aperture, the histogram, and white balance.

You will need a good level of fitness for this workshop as we will be doing quite a lot of walking so you will need good footwear. You may also want to bring waterproof clothing just in case of bad weather as this workshop will go ahead whatever the weather.

To photograph seabirds and wildlife along the cliff top the problem is getting close enough, so you will need a suitable camera with a lens focal length of at least 200-300mm a 500mm or a 600mm would be ideal also if you want to do some landscape you will need an 18-55mm or similar. You may also wish to bring a pair of binoculars with you.

With the nature of this photography, we can not guarantee that you will see all the birds listed. Also, the walk will go ahead whatever the weather so any payment made is non-refundable unless extreme circumstances dictate otherwise and due to our opinion.​

If you pay a deposit you will be required to pay the remaining balance 48 hours before the day of the course. If you fail to pay the full amount before the day of the course you will lose your deposit and will not be able to attend the course.
