What will be covered
We will cover a wide range of topics to get you started in bird photography. You will learn which equipment is best suited for capturing bird images, including lenses, cameras, and tripods. You will also learn how to scout locations and identify birds that are suitable for photographing. In addition, you’ll go over essential photography techniques such as composition, lighting, and shutter speed. Finally, you’ll cover editing techniques and post-processing tools to create stunning photos that are ready for sharing. By the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge and skills needed to produce beautiful wildlife photographs.
Equipment needed
To get started in bird photography, you will need some essential equipment. This includes a camera that is capable of capturing high-quality images, a telephoto lens to magnify your subject, and a tripod to keep the camera steady while shooting. You may also need basic accessories such as a lens hood, extra batteries, and UV or polarizing filters. By investing in good quality equipment, you will be well-prepared to capture stunning bird photographs.

This workshop takes place at Tophill Low Nature Reserve near Driffield in East Yorkshire.

With the nature of this photography, we can not guarantee that you will see all the birds listed. Also, the course will go ahead whatever the weather so any payment made is non-refundable unless extreme circumstances dictate otherwise and due to our opinion.
If you choose to use one of our cameras you will be responsible for any damage, and will have to pay for any repairs that may be required whilst the camera was in your care.
We will not be held responsible for any of your own equipment damage, theft or personal injury while attending the walk participants do so at their own risk!
If you pay a deposit you will be required to pay the remaining balance 48 hours before the day of the course. If you fail to pay the full amount before the day of the course you will lose your deposit and will not be able to attend the course.
